The College Admissions process is a very exciting time in the life of a high school student and their family. But if we are being honest, it can also be a lonely and confusing time. While guiding students, we focus on the self-discovery aspects as we determine the “right fit” college. I work closely with students and families to create a personalized roadmap as we navigate the process together. I take a small number of students per cycle to keep this service individualized. Regardless of the package selected, college admission counseling services include, but are not limited to:

• in-depth meeting with students and their parents or guardians to assess goals and current educational successes

• develop a personalized timeline of the application process

• strategic college list building

• guidance on admission testing planning

• advisement and guidance on all stages of writing a personal statement (or essay), which will offer admissions officers a glimpse of a student’s writing skills and interests, as they craft a narrative in their unique voice

• assistance with all components of the set number of applications

• regular communication and access to my calendar to schedule meeting times that fit into busy schedules

• an account with CounselMore, a web-based application tool that helps tremendously with workflow and organization and is used by Independent Educational Consultants and their clients
